Notice is hereby given that the City-County of Butte-Silver Bow is requesting Separate Sealed Bids for the BSB SHOPS RELOCATION PROJECT, located at, the Beef Trail Road Site and Bus Transfer Site, Butte, Montana. Sealed Bids are hereby invited and will be received: At or prior to the hour of 4:30 P.M. (Mountain Daylight Saving Time), Wednesday, July 31,2019, at the Office of the Clerk and Recorder, City-County of Butte-Silver Bow, Second Floor, Room208, Courthouse Building, 155 West Granite Street, Butte, Montana 59701.

All received Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the regularly scheduled City and County of Butte-Silver Bow Council of Commissioners meeting beginning at 5:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers, Third Floor, Room 312, Courthouse Building, on Wednesday, July 31,2019

Bids shall be submitted for ONE GENERAL CONTRACT, on the forms provided with the contract documents. Contract documents maybe viewed and secured at the office of the Architect, Walter H. Hinick & Associates, 100 East Broadway Street, Butte, Montana 59701. Required deposit is $600.00 per set, which is not refundable. Compact Discs of the plan set are available at a cost of $100.00. Materials may also be available to be viewed and downloaded from the following Builders Exchanges:

Plans and Specifications for the above Bid will be on file at the Clerk and Recorder's Office. Persons with disabilities who need an alternative format of this document in order to participate in the Invitation for Bids process should contact the Clerk & Recorders Office at 406-497-6335, Courthouse Building, 155 West Granite Street, Butte, Montana 59701. The City and County of Butte-Silver Bow City-County will make  every effort  to accommodate such requests as long as it is received within five (5) working days of the noticed bid acceptance closing date & time. 

All bids must be accompanied by an amount of not less than ten percent(10%) of the aggregate of the Bid proposed in the form of: (a.) lawful monies of the United States; (b.) a cashiers check, certified check, bank money order, or bank draft, in any case drawn and issued by a National Banking Association located in the State of Montana; (c.) a Bid bond or bonds, executed by a surety corporation authorized to do business in the State of Montana. These securities will be forfeited to the Butte-Silver Bow City-County Government as liquidated damages if the requirements in the way of contract are not entered into within fifteen(15) days after the date of award by the Council of Commissioners.

A Pre-Bid Conference and Tour of the Work Site will be conducted at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, July 24th,2019, for all interested bidders on the First Floor of the Butte Silver Bow Courthouse. Attendance is strongly encouraged for all bidders. 

Each  bidder  shall  be  required  to  have a Butte-Silver  Bow business  license  prior  to acceptance of bid.  The Contractor an any of the Contractor’s subcontractors bidding or doing work on this project will be required to be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI).Forms for registration are available at DLI, P.O. Box 8011, 1850 Prospect, Helena, Mt 59604-8011. Federal Excise Tax should not be included in the Bids as Butte-Silver Bow City-County is exempt from it. Montana 2019 Prevailing Wage Rates for Building Construction shall apply.

The successful Bidder shall comply with all applicable Local, State, and Federal ordinances, regulations and requirements, which include but are not limited to Section 3 Clause, Equal Opportunity Clause, Executive Order 11246 and 11624, Federal Labor Standards and Civil Rights Act.

Butte-Silver Bow reserves the right to reject all bids. Butte-Silver Bow also reserves the right to reject any and all nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids, and to reject the bid of any bidder if Butte-Silver Bow believes that it would not be in the best interest of Butte-Silver Bow to make an award to that Bidder. Butte-Silver Bow also reserves the right to waive informalities.

It is not the intent of these specifications to exclude any products or materials of equal or greater quality to those specified herein. Trade names used are exemplary, and intended to establish desired quality. Before any substitutions of lesser quality are made, the written consent of the City-County of Butte-Silver Bow must be obtained.

The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.
