Important Information Regarding Election Mail and Elections...

Residents may have gotten postal mail telling them they may not be registered to vote or their registration status has changed.   This mail is NOT from the Clerk & Recorder/Election Administrator’s Office.  If you look at the return address of the envelope that was sent to you, you will see it is not from the local government (155 W. Granite St., Room 208, Butte MT 59701), however, the postage paid return envelope is addressed to the local Election Administrator.

There is no need for voters to fill out Voter Registration or Absentee Ballot Request form unless you are currently not registered to vote, you have moved since you last voted, or you want to change to/from absentee voting.

If you are unsure what information we have on file, you can check the state-wide voter registration website at sosmt.gov/elections, click on My Voter Page, and enter your name, birthdate, and then click on Voter Registration.  Your current voter registration information (including absentee voting status) will display.  If any of this information is incorrect, then fill out the form you received in the mail and return it to our office.

Voters can also contact our office to find out what information we have on file.  Call 406-497-6344 or email clerkrec@bsb.mt.gov.

The next election is November 7, 2023, for residents in Walkerville Ward 2 only.  This is a mail ballot election.

The next election for Silver Bow County voters is the school elections in May 2024 or the Federal Primary Election in June 2024.
