The Finance & Budget staff is implementing processes to assure compliance with ARPA grant report filings. The first ARPA-County required report was filed successfully on August 25,2021. It was due on August 31,2021. The United States Treasury has issued an extension for the reports due by local governments that are considered non-entitlement units (NEU). For the city allocation, Butte is considered a NEU. The report was originally due October 31, 2021, is now due April 30, 2022.
The ARPA Committee has recommended funding of $1 million in a grant program for entities of Silver Bow County. The Finance & Budget Department and Community Development Department are developing grant guidelines to be presented to the local government ARPA Committee and approved by the Council of Commissioners. Grant applications for this program will be available in mid-November and due back to the local government by January 14, 2022. The grant funds will be awarded by February 1, 2022.
