Evaluation & Tier Levels

The individuals who appear on this list have been convicted and sentenced or in custody for a sex offense after July 1989, or a violent offense after October 1995, that requires registration with the sheriff’s office in the county of their residence. Pursuant to MCA 46-23-509, some sexual offenders may be given an evaluation which places him/her in a tier level which reflects the potential to re-offend. Tier levels also assess the threat that the offender poses to public safety. Learn more about tier levels.
