Community Works

Immunizations

The Health Department’s Immunization Program reduces the burden of vaccine-preventable disease to all members of our community through education and guidance. Our public health nurses provide safe distribution of vaccines to people, whether they have health insurance, or are under-insured or uninsured. We offer vaccine appointments four days a week. Please bring insurance information and vaccine records, if available.

Keep up to date on the latest required and recommended immunizations.

Flu Vaccine

Everyone 6 months of age or older is recommended to get a flu shot each year. Public health nurses offer community flu shot clinics and walk-in clinics during flu season.

COVID-19 Vaccine

B-SB Health Department offers walk-in visits for COVID-19 shots four days a week during Immunization Program Clinic Hours. Check your eligibility for COVID-19 vaccine on the CDC website here.

Travel Vaccine

Traveling outside the United States? Schedule a consultation with one of our public health nurses before you go.

  • The nurse will evaluate appropriate vaccines you may need based on your itinerary.
  • Prepares additional health information based on your travel plans such as food and water safety, needed prescriptions, and other precautions.

What should you bring for a travel consultation?

  • Your vaccine history/records, if available
  • Health insurance information so we can assess any out-of-pocket costs
