For the 2008 Primary (June) and General (November) elections, if you live in Rocker, Ramsay, Divide, or Melrose, you will vote there otherwise you vote at the Civic Center. If you live outside of the city limits, and are unsure what precinct you are in, you should check with our office to see where you vote. For information on obtaining an absentee ballot or Precinct information, please call 497-6344.
Precincts 1 through 25C vote at the Butte Civic Center. Precincts 26E and 26W vote in Rocker. Precincts 27N and 27S vote in Ramsay. Precinct 28 votes in Divide. Precinct 29 votes in Melrose
Polls open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. Rocker, Divide, and Melrose polls open at noon and close at 8:00 p.m.

Chief Executive Paul Babb
The governments of the city of Butte and Silver Bow County combined in 1977. The government is lead by the Chief Executive, Paul Babb and a 12-member Council of Commissioners.
Our Office hours are 8am to 5pm (with the exception of the Treasurer's office) with no noon closure.
The Treasurer's office is open 8am to 5pm for all matters (including tax payments). State Motor Vehicle Licensing is open 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Essential Public Works Services, (water, sewer, and road maintenance) are available 24 hours, seven days a week.

The function of the Butte-Silver Bow Government is to serve the citizens of the city of Butte and Silver Bow County. Our government's goal is to improve and maintain governmental operations and conditions within the boundaries of Silver Bow County.
