How long have you been in office: 10 years

Why did you run for public office: To become involved and to have an opportunity to serve my community.

What Committees do you sit on: 2017/ 2018 Term - Finance & Budget, Public Works, Economic Development

What initiatives/policies will you focus on over the course of your term: I will continue to support policies that improve our public infrastructure, promotes economic development, increases our quality of life, removes community decay from our neighborhoods, and ensures fiscal responsibility of our local government.

Over the next four years, what do you see are Butte-Silver Bow’s most important challenges and how would you like to address them: The top challenges our community faces involves expanding economic development, ensuring proper environment clean-up, and replacing our aging infrastructure. These issues can be best addressed if we work together, listen, keep an open mind, develop a comprehensive plan and follow through.

What do you hope to get out of your time serving the public: An opportunity to serve my community and to make Butte a better place to live.

What makes your district unique: Commissioner District # 9 is very diverse and spread out over a large portion of our community. It is made up of historical and modern neighborhoods, parks and recreational complexes, urban and rural settings, various commercial, industrial and cemetery properties. It includes the distinct neighborhoods of Central Butte, the lower Westside, the Travonia neighborhood, the Boulevard, Williamsburg, Timber Butte and Beef Trail.

Do you prefer Pasty or Pork Chop Sandwich: I love both, but would pick a pasty if I had to.

If you were stranded on a desert Island, what three items would you bring with you: Fresh water, matches and a boat so I could get myself off the island!

Is there anything else you would like to tell your constituents: I love helping youth in our community, sports, hiking, fishing, vacationing in Glacier National Park, and spending time with my family.
