November 14, 2019, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM @ Archives Building
The Butte-Silver Bow Public Archives will continue its Brown Bag Lunch series on Thursday, November 14, with a presentation by journalist Mike Dennison. Dennison will speak about this new book “Inside Montana Politics: A Reporter’s View from the Trenches,” a lively historical and personal look at major political figures and events he has covered during his 30-plus-year career as a reporter in Montana. The book leads off with a chapter in Montana history of particular interest to Butte: the fall of Montana Power Co., in the wake of the deregulation debacle of the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Mike Dennison is the chief political reporter for the Montana Television Network. He’s been a reporter since 1981, and a full-time political reporter since 1992, working for the Montana Standard, Billings Gazette, Great Falls Tribune, Helena Independent Record, Missoulian and The Associated Press. He’s a 1981 graduate of the University of Montana’s journalism school, and lives in Helena.
