The City and County of Butte Silver Bow and the Montana Department of Transportation are in the process of updating the Transportation Plan (Plan). The Plan assists in guiding transportation infrastructure and implementation over the planning horizon (next 20 years). This includes all modes of travel and transportation needs.
The Plan will guide transportation investments based on system needs and decision-making principles. The community’s increasing interest in transportation related matters, including multi-modal means, has necessitated the updating of the Plan.
The process of updating the Plan starts with gathering input from residents, stakeholders, business owners, and elected officials. One of the most important pieces of this update is hearing from the community that will be using the transportation system and their future vision. The Transportation Plan is a long process with many moving parts, which includes a number of public comment opportunities, maps, planning and debates. In this vein, please provide us with your comments on transportation in Butte by completing the Transportation Plan Public Comment Form. Our goal is to create a plan that will serve the community’s citizens well into the future. Below, you will find an image of the entire process this update will go through, please do not hesitate to contact Butte-Silver Bow Assistant Planning Director, Lori Casey at email@example.com or transportation consultant Darryl James at firstname.lastname@example.org should you have any further questions or concerns, or would like to provide your feedback in an email.
Please check this space periodically as new pieces of the transportation plan will be added throughout the process.
